Cell Imaging Core
The Cell Imaging Core provides a centralized source of equipment, technical assistance and expertise for investigators requiring contemporary histochemical and quantitative imaging techniques. The services offered by this core include:
- Providing and maintaining centralized equipment and reagents for immunohistochemistry and situ hybridization analyses including tissue sectioning, probe preparation, autoradiography and computer aided quantitative analysis.
- Optimizing in situ and immunohistochemical methods for detecting and quantifying specific mRNAs and proteins in monkey and rat tissues.
- Training CRRP members in the application of quantitative imaging methods (optical density, grain counting and unbiased stereological methods) to measure specific mRNAs and proteins.
